FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.


Center Contacts and Hours

Location & Map:

  • Address: 2112 Sunset Avenue, Madera, California
  • Family History Center entrance is at the northeast door. Ring bell located on the brick wall to the left of the doors for entrance to the center.  
  • Map to Madera California Family History Center

Phone: 559-661-7700 (Call during Family History Center open hours for assistance.)

Open Hours:

  • Daytime: Tuesdays and Wednesday 10am-1pm
  • Evening: Tuesday and Wednesday 7-8:30pm (Call between those hours, before coming in, to verify that a consultant has opened the center.)

Holiday Schedule: Closed on major holidays.

Appointments: Call to make an appointment for a more convenient time, if necessary.

Class Schedule: FamilySearch training course, every Sunday, 12:15pm-1pm, Family History Center.

Staff Training Meetings: 4th Sunday 7pm

Family Tree Training:   3rd Tuesday night at 7pm and 3rd Tuesday morning at 11am.
