Little Salt Lake County was created by the Utah legislature in the Autumn of 1850[1] with indeterminate boundaries on unsettled land where colonists had proposed to settle. On 3 March 1852 the Utah legislature redefined the area of Little Salt Lake County as Iron County.[2]

For records of Little Salt Lake County, see Iron County.
