There is a lot of confusion on how best to enter and update data on relatives who are still alive in FamilySearch. Engage your Family with Games and Activities
This class will expose you to various activities and games related to your family tree. Your family will discover ancestors already in your tree and test your knowledge of their details in a fun and interactive way. You will learn how to engage your family with individual activities, and also in teams competing for the family title at group events. There are games and activities for all ages. Some of the competition-based games work well in our classrooms full of computers which can be scheduled for your family events. Family History Consultant Preparation Class
This class is intended for new family history consultants. This class will cover the duties and responsibilities of a ward family history consultant. It will also show you where to go to find additional help and resources.

FamilySearch Basics
This is a three week class which will cover the basics on how to use FamilySearch. This class will only be held in the evenings and is a condensed FamilySearch class for those who cannot attend the five week course held during the day.

Finding Temple Opportunities
Many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with pioneer heritage, find it challenging to discover new names to take to the temple. FindMyPast
Findmypast is an excellent database used by family history researchers to find their ancestors. This class will teach you the basics on how to use Findmypast with FamilySearch. This tool is free to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and interfaces with the Church’s FamilySearch tool.

This is a hands-on class. Bring your smart phones and your Family Search username and password and join the fun as we learn how to use the amazing free FamilySearch Memories app! Attendees should have some experience with family search source linker and adding people. We will cover concepts such as standardization, reviewing sources all ready attached, correctly adding people to family search from hints, reviewing original documents, attaching census hints without relationships defined, using Find a Grave, Record Seek and the Change button.
