Parish History

'Kensington St. Mary [1539], was an ancient parish, and the head of a union, in the Kensington division of the hundred of Ossulstone, County of Middlesex, 2 miles west by south of London.  Here is a Comprehensive List of Churches and Chapels in St Mary Abbots Kensington Parish.

'Chapels of worship were built for Roman Catholics, Baptists and Independents. In addition, the Kensal-Green Cemetery was created in 1833 which included 15 acres for the interment of dissenters (Nonconformists).'[1] See also Brompton.
