We have photo, document, & slide scanners available to reserve. We also can digitize audio cassettes & VHS movies.

We have a variety of resources to help you with your family history efforts. We can provide help with your research needs, show you discoveries about your family members, or help you to preserver your heritage. We invite you to come in and learn!

Main Library Resources
  • Over 14,000 rolls of microfilm and over 16,000 sets of microfiche
  • Eastern Idaho Obituary Collection - Obituaries for Southeast Idaho region up through 2018
  • 36 desktop PCs for general research use
  • WiFi Access available
  • 1 ScanPro microfilm/microfiche scanners with printing capabilities and ability to save images to USB Drive
  • 2 black & while network printers (There is no printing cost but there is a MAXIMUM of 10 printed pages and they must be family history related)
  • Floppy Disk Drives (3.5") to help you transfer old files to a new USB flash drive
  • Patron, Volunteer, & Missionary Lunch Room with fridges and microwaves


Computer Labs
  • Bell Lab with 16 computer stations, 1 Projector, 1 Instructor Station
  • Godfrey Lab with 23 computer stations, 1 projector, 1 Instructor Station
Media Preservation Equipment
  • 2 Dedicated PCs to digitize your VHS or cassette tapes
  • 3 Computers with a flatbed scanner and fast photo scanner
  • 3 Slide and negative scanners
  • 1 Document Scanner that will scan multiple document pages into a single PDF file
