Parish History

HILLINGDON, a village, aparish, and a sub-district, in Uxbridge district, Middlesex. The village stands near the Uxbridge railway, the Grand Junction canal, the river Colne, and the boundary with Bucks, 1 mile SE of Uxbridge; was known, at Domesday, asHillendone.[1]

Hillingdon West, a district church created in 1894, lay in the civil parish of Hillingdon.
