History
Fruitland was homesteaded by John Hall in 1897, the town site was original 160 areas. There was a two-story brick schoolhouse built in 1909, it had two rooms upstairs and two rooms downstairs. Most of this area was planted in orchards plums and apples. Fruitland was incorporated as a village in 1948
