Collection Description

The largest genealogical collection in the world. It is especially strong for the United States, British Isles, Scandinavia, Europe, Mexico, and parts of Germany, but also contains material from all parts of the world. The collection contains civil/vital births, marriages, and deaths, church records, county and local histories, court records, military records, probate records, passenger arrival lists, naturalization and land records. The large microfilm and book collections are being digitized and can be found on www.familysearch.org.
