FamilySearch Kids Camp
FamilySearch Kids Camp is a great way to introduce children and youth to family history.
The objective of FamilySearch Kids Camp is to help students gain an appreciation for their family history and begin to understand what family history is and why it is important.
When and Where
FamilySearch Kids Camp will be held at the Federation of Genealogical Society Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee on Saturday, August 21 from 9am-12pm.
Students will visit various stations and engage in fun activities that will help them learn about family history and resources for researching family history. The activities can fulfill requirements for the Webelo Heritage belt loop and the Boy Scouts of America Genealogy merit badge.
How to Register
To register your children for Kids Camp, e-mail the names of all the children who will be attending, along with your contact information (e-mail and phone number) to: email@example.com
If you are a Boy Scout, fill out the forms below and bring them to FamilySearch Kids Camp. Using this information, the activities at the camp will fulfill the requirements for your Genealogy merit badge.
A Pedigree Chart is a form that shows several generations of your direct ancestors. You will see spaces for you, your parents, their parents. Print the blank pedigree chart below and work with your parents to fill in as much information as you can about your parents and grand parents.

A Family Group Record form shows information about a family (one set of parents and their children). Print out three copies of the form below and fill out a family group record showing your parents, you, and your brothers and sisters. Fill out another form for your showing your father as a child with his parents and brothers and sisters. Fill out another form for your mother as a child with her parents and brothers and sisters.
