Resources in the Local Area

Escalante has a local branch of the DUP ( Daughter's of Utah Pioneers). We also have a wonderful Heritage Center east of town that is promoting the history of our town, and the Hole in the Rock story. Escalante is full of history of the early pioneers as they came this way in early days of the LDS church. Under the direction of President Brigham Young, he sent pioneers out to settle this part of southern Utah.
