Dead River is a former plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the Northwest Somerset townships of Somerset County, Maine. Dead River Plantation was organized from Township 3 R3 WKR in 1865, 1873 (petition), 1874 (petition), and 1895 (confirmed). The plantation organization was surrendered in 1951, and since then it has been an unorganized territory.[1] [2]
