History

Corrine.jpg
Corinne, Utah or (Burg on the Bear) [1]is a small city in Box Elder County, Utah. It is listed as a railroad class 7 ghost town. During the building of the transcontinental railroad, it was a thriving railroad terminus. It was settled on 25 March 1869 by Mark A. Gilmore and friends with the intent of becoming a "gentile" community, trying to distinguish its self from the Mormon Communities surrounding it. [2]When different railways routes were changed, Corinne's population declined. This gives Corinne the classification of a ghost town, even though the residents are very much alive.
