FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

Open Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednsaday 7pm to 9pm.  Saturdays from 10am to 2pm 

Holiday Schedule: Closed all 3 day weekends on Saturdays. Weekends of General Conference. Major Hollidays and the week of Thanksgiving and Chrismas

==== Class Schedule: FAMILY HISTORY CLASSES FOR SEPTEMBER Please note:
• Classes will be held on Thursdays to accommodate those who could not attend Tuesday classes
• Class topics are in response to many questions I have received.
• I would love those of you who would like to teach one of the topics to contact me! I love sharing as much as I love teaching!
• Classes will start at 7pm and will be about 1 hour long
• Please print and hang on the appropriate bulletin board in your Ward.

• September 8: Working with New FamilySearch: What do I do if?
 This class deals with the little things that seem to cause so much trouble.

• September 15: Working with Roots Magic and Ancestral Quest:
 We will go over how to work with these 2 programs and New Family Search

• September 22: Surveying the Internet:
 How to start finding what others have already done in your family history

• September 29: Maps to help you with finding your ancestors

Center Resources


  • Family History Library Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the Family History Library Catalog.
  • (List additional collections you have such as the types of books and microfilm you have on indefinite loan; though you will not want to list every single item you have. Just give visitors to this page a general idea of your resources.)

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal: This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.These include Ancestory.com, Flag3, World Vital Statistics, and many others 
  • Animap on select computers.

Hardware and Equipment and Facilities 

  • 10 well maintain computers, 3 with 22” screens.
  •  6 laptop stations by computers
  •  3 Wi-Fi for available for 4 additional computers 
  •  Multiple classrooms for improved training opportunities

Our Family History Center specializes in helping those who are new to Family History or just need some helping getting to the next step in their own research. 

Our specialties include:

Being able to help train othes on computer programs such as  

  1. Ancestral Quest 
  2. PAF 
  3. Roots Magic 
  4. Family Search 
  5. Ancestry.com
  6. World Vital Statistics 
  7. Animap and others
  8. Training on how to use and submit information to  the Wiki at FamilySearch.org
