Open Hours:

  • Tuesday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Saturday: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

To enter, ring the front door bell. A consultant will come and open the door.

Holiday Schedule: 

Closed all federal holidays. There will be a two-week break over Christmas/New Years. Call for dates.

Center Resources


  • The Center provides free access to websites that generally charge for subscriptions including Access Newspapers,, Heritage Quest, ArchiveDigital (Swedish Research), Fold 3, etc.
  • The center has a large selection of microfilm and microfiche on indefinite loan as well as a collection of books, atlases and research guides
  • Computers, microfilm reader/printer, scanner, printers and wifi are available.

Trained temple and family history consultants are available to answer questions and assist you in researching your own family history.

Resources in the Local Area

Government offices for obtaining copies of birth, death, marriage and land records are located within 15 minutes of the Family History Center. The main branch of the Kitsap Regional Library and Puget Sound Genealogical Society (PSGS) are located a few blocks away.


  • FamilySearch Research Wiki: What It Can Do For You!: A comprehensive video presentation explaining the Wiki, navigating it, and some especially useful pages. Case studies demonstrate using the Wiki for genealogical research. Editing and adding articles to the Wiki are covered.
