Parish History

'Bradwell also know as Bradwell on Sea (St Thomas), is a village, a parish, and a subdistrict, in the district of Maldon, Essex. The villiage stands near the point of the peninsula between the Blackwater estuary and the the sea, it is 5 1/2 miles by water, but 12 miles by road, E of Maldon railway station. The parish is sometimes called Bradwell next the Sea.'[1]
