Parish History

'BETCHWORTH St Michael, a parish, in the union, and First division of the hundred, of Reigate, Eastern division of Surrey, 3¼ miles west by south from Reigate. In Brockham Green was built in 1845, a chapel called Christ Church, which lay within the parish boundary of Betchworth.

'At Brockham Green was also a Baptist chapel built in 1781.'[1]
