Parish History

BEECHAMWELL, a district comprising the parish of All Saints and the united parishes of St. John and St. Mary, in the union of Swaffham, hundred of Clackclose, W. division of Norfolk, 5 miles (W. S. W.) from Swaffham. [1]

Barton Bendish St Mary is an Ancient Parish  in the diocese of Norwich.

A Norman church with thatched roof and which lost it's towere in a collapse in the early 18th Century.

The Church is now redundant and in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
