FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

The Atascadero Family History Center is located at 2600 Ramona Road, in Atascadero, Ca.  The center is dedicated to providing education and support for the family history community in the area.

  • Mon:  10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Tues:   6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Wed:  10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Thur:  10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Family Tree One-Day Intensive Course held at the Los Angeles Family History Library

What is Family Tree

The Family Tree is a new approach to researching and organizing your family history that focuses on enhanced data accuracy through collaboration and sourcing. It takes the best features of new.FamilySearch and adds many useful functions. It looks similar, but it does much more and will enable you to enjoy family history in new ways. Once all of the features are in place, the Family Tree will replace new.FamilySearch and will be freely and publically available to people around the world.

Three Classes will be offered with hands on experience using Family Tree:

Class 1: 10:00 - 12:00 PM  Introduction to and navigating on the Family Tree Qualifying names for Temple Ordinances.

Class 2: 1:00 - 3:00 PM       Working with sources on the Family Tree.

Class 3: 3:00 - 5:00 PM       Editing data and relationships and merging duplicate persons.

Each class is restricted to the first 24 to register. To register please call 310 474-9990

The Los Angeles Family History Library has a Computer Lab in room TR1 of the Library. There is also an Education Lab in room TR2.

  • The Atascadero Family History Center has a small collection of various resource books and private collections that are available for viewing in the center.
