When searching for divorce records in Alberta contact the Alberta Archives first. Be sure to provide them with the name of the parties, place of the divorce (as close as possible) and the approximate year. Be sure your letter/e-mail is clear and concise and state the specific record you need, i.e. Divorce Order/Records. The Provincial Archives have a Nominal Index that was created by the Court house and this will provide a Docket/File number. The Archivist can then retrieve the appropriate file and forward the information to you.
