8th Regiment, Illinois Infantry
The 8th Regiment, Illinois Infantry was organized at Cairo, Illinois, for three years' service July 25, 1861. It mustered out at Baton Rouge May 4 and discharged at Springfield, Ill., May 13, 1866.
