Brief History

The 2nd Independent Battery, Connecticut Light Artillery was organized at Bridgeport, Connecticut.  It was mustered in September 10, 1862.  On the 9th of  August 1865, this regiment was mustered out at New Haven, Connecticut.  This battery was composed of men from all parts of Connecticut.
