WHITLEY, LOWER, a township, in the parish of Thornhill, union of Dewsbury, Lower division of the wapentake of Agbrigg, W. riding of York, 3 miles (S.E. by S.) from Dewsbury. In the township is a place of worship for Wesleyans.
