  • When creating Santiago, Pedro de Valdivia made a series of acts of usurpation of the lands of the Indians, sending the remains first to one place and then to another.
  • In 1946 the district of Vitacura was created by the owners of the Vitacura farm, Lo Curro and the Recabarren.
  • As of March 9, 1991 the commune of Vitacura was created.
  • The commune has a flat area and another mountainous area.
  • The commune of Vitacura has an approximate population of 84,000 people[1].
