Are you a FS employee?[edit source]

Some of your recent edits about image visibility of historical record collections seem to suggest you are a FS employee. If this is the case, it would be helpful for the community if you stated that on your user page. Some of these edits were discussed in a recent GetSatisfaction forum thread, and there was confusion about whether these edits were being made by an official FS employee. If this is not the case, I apologise for bothering you and thank you for improving the wiki. --Av85647 (talk) 16:07, 6 January 2020 (MST)

Response to Av85647[edit source]

No, I am not an FS employee. I'm fulltime missionary serving in User Guidance.

Firstly, thank you for your service as a volunteer for FamilySearch. If you are taking instructions from/doing official work for FamilySearch/The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it would be useful if this was noted. Even if you're not a paid employee, it's useful for the community to know when an edit is being made by an ordinary user, and when the edit is by or on the behalf of FamilySearch. --Av85647 (talk) 14:03, 8 January 2020 (MST)
