Paragraphs[edit | edit source]

Searching for ancestors in medieval England can be fascinating. Extensive collections survive in English archives dating back to the Domesday Book (1086 A.D.). Medieval records most often record activities of nobility and the landed class. They are typically written in Latin or Old French, but modern English translations are available for many record groups.

My new version:

Font Size[edit | edit source]

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Donec sit amet iaculis metus. Pellentesque habitant morbi tristique senectus et netus et malesuada fames ac turpis egestas. Fusce elementum efficitur faucibus. Curabitur eleifend quis ligula ac ullamcorper. Curabitur eget suscipit turpis.

Not only can we enlarge paragraphs, but we can enlarge headers as well. However to do that we need to substitute the equal signs for the header tag like so:

<h1 style="font-size:20pt; ">Enlarging Headers</h1>

Normal size of the default font is 10pt or 10 points. Let's say we want to increase the font to 12 points. To make the font larger you insert the attribute "font-size:12pt; " in the paragraph tag coding like so:

<p style="font-size:12pt">.

Using only the #number for the font color in the code, as in the example above, does not work. You must use "color:#number" in order for the code to work. The correct code would be:

<p style="color:#8A2BE2">

Html7.jpg

You will also notice that alongside these "named" colors there is also a number value. This value is called a HEX number. You can use the HEX number instead of the name if you want. Sometimes the HEX code is shorter than the name of the color. Be sure to place the hash tag # before the actual number. The computer will not process the HEX code without the # tag. The font color code using the HEX number would look like this:

<p style="color:#8A2BE2">

Sometimes you may want a different color for the font for emphasis: This is the attribute for that:

<p style="color:blue">

Infobox - If Functions[edit | edit source]

Testing[edit | edit source]

The addition of the last two curly brackets to the items of information in the infobox template adds the ability to remove them if you don't want that those particular items to appear in the infobox:
| {{#if:{{{president|}}} | President:
| {{{president}}}}} If you don't save the infobox as a template, then the items in the infobox will appear as this:

organization name
image
{{{president}}}
{{{vice president}}}
{{{address}}}
{{{phone}}}
{{{web site}}}
{{{hours open}}}
Name of Organization
