Proposal

Five Recommendations:

  1. Make Wiki collection citation match FSHR citation
  2. Remove search instructions from record citation
  3. Remove browse instructions from image citation
  4. Change Record Citation and Image Citation templates to remove the second sentence
  5. Reword the Citing This Collection section

Collection Citation

  • Collection citations can change
  • Use existing Collection Citation template when article is written
  • When collection stages copy/paste citation into wiki and format to match

Record Citation

  1. Change template to remove scheduled= and collection-specific parameters

Record Citation
When looking at a record, the citation is found below the record.

Image Citation

  1. Change template to remove scheduled= and collection-specific parameters

Image Citation
Then looking at an image, the citation is found on the Information tab at the bottom left of the screen.

Citing This Collection Level 2 Section

  • Reword this to correctly reflect that only the Collection Citation is a citation
  • Record and Image Citations are "where to find" instructions

Identifying your sources helps others find the records you used.
