SHARON WEBSTER MISSION ONE
My husband and I had a long-term goal to be able to serve full-time in the church. After raising six children, we were sixty years old, and my parents were old and needing help. We moved to Cedar City, where we cared for my parents until my father passed away. My mother decided to move to an assisted-living community and was doing well, so we submitted our mission papers. When the call came, we were excited to serve in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for eighteen months. We loved the people and the work, and knew we would try to serve as many missions as we could.
SHARON WEBSTER MISSION TWO
We enjoyed Cedar City for many more years after we returned from Tanzania. My mother was doing fairly well in the assisted-living community, but we supplemented her care, and decided we could not leave her for full-time work. We answered a missionary call on the missionary listing sheet for auditors for Property Reserve, Incorporated in Salt Lake City. This was a part-time mission entailing traveling across the United States auditing church properties.
