What is in This Collection?

This collection of Catholic Church records from 1794 to 1985 are of baptisms, marriages and burials from throughout the Philippines. This is an ongoing project, so additional images will be published when they become available.

Marriage Records

  • Names and ages of groom and bride
  • Date and place of marriage
  • Birthplaces of groom and bride
  • Names of groom’s parents
  • Names of bride’s parents
  • Who performed the marriage
  • Names of witnesses

Burial Records

  • Age at the time of death
  • Birth date
  • Birthplace
  • Deceased's given name
  • Death date
  • Father's name
  • Mother's name
  • Spouse's name if married

How Do I Search This Collection?

Before searching this collection, it is helpful to know:

  • Your ancestor's given name and surname
  • Identifying information such as residence
  • Estimated marriage or birth year
  • Family relationships

I Can’t Find the Person I’m Looking For, What Now?

  • If your ancestor does not have a common name, collect entries for every person who has the same surname. This list can help you find possible relatives.
  • If you cannot locate your ancestor in the locality in which you believe they lived, then try searching a nearby locality.
  • Try different spellings of your ancestor’s name.
  • Check the infobox above for additional FamilySearch websites and related websites that may assist you in finding similar records.
