The Burley Center will be closed from Friday, December 23rd through Monday, January 2nd for the Christmas Holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd at 9:00 am, our regular time.

Burley Family History Library[edit | edit source]

The Burley, Idaho Family History Center has been very popular with local family history researchers in South Central Idaho since it opened its doors in 1963 under the charter of The Salt Lake Genealogical Society. Please use the menu above for links to specific library pages.

Group Visit Opportunities[edit | edit source]

The Riverton FamilySearch Library is pleased and eager to offer the opportunity for individuals, organizations, and others to schedule a group visit to our library. We offer a variety of options that are sure to provide interest to your group. They include a short presentation, 20 to 25 minutes, in one of our meeting rooms, with the remainder of the time in the library. Genealogy Merit Badge Workshop [edit | edit source]

On the second Saturday of each month, except December, the library offers a Boy Scout Genealogy Merit Badge Workshop. Click here for details on the workshop.

Saturday Seminars [edit | edit source]

On the third Saturday of each month, except December, the Riverton FamilySearch Library offers a free, three-hour Saturday Seminar with a featured speaker and various classes. Click here for details on the seminar.

Family Discovery Days [edit | edit source]

The Riverton FamilySearch Library will host a Family Discovery Day three times a year. The first Discovery Day will be held on January 28th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the library and will focus on Family Reunions. The following Family Discovery Days will be on the fourth Saturday of April and September. A wide variety of family-oriented family history activities are available to experience, enjoy and learn.
