Parish History

Upminster (St. Lawrence), is a parish, in the union of Romford, hundred of Chafford, south division of Essex, it is 3½ miles E S E from Romford. It contains the hamlets of Corbetstye, Upminster-Common, and Harton. There is a place of worship for Independents.[1]
