History

Ulfborg-Vemb was a municipality in the former Ringkjøbing County on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in west Denmark and the main town and site of its municipal council was the town of Ulfborg.
The municipality was created in 1970 due to a Municipality Reform that combined a number of existing parishes, Bur, Gørding, Husby, Madum, Staby, Sønder Nissum, Ulfborg Sogn and Vemb.
In January 1, 2007 Ulfborg-Vemb municipality ceased to exist due to The Municipality Reform of 2007 when it was merged with existing Holstebro and Vinderup municipalities to form the new Holstebro municipality.The main town and site of its municipal council was the town of Ulfborg.
