STOCKERSTON (St. Peter), a parish, in the union of Uppingham, hundred of Gartree, S. division of the county of Leicester, 2¾ miles (W. S. W.) from Uppingham. [1]
In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson, Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Stockerston like this:
