==Country Information==
Finland is a Nordic country in Northern Europe bordered by [[Sweden Genealogy|Sweden]], [[Norway Genealogy|Norway]], [[Russia Genealogy|Russia]], and [[Estonia Genealogy|Estonia]]. Before 1809 Finland was a part of Sweden. From 1809 to 1917 it belonged to the Russian Empire.
