Guide to Skagen City, Hjørring, Denmark ancestry, family history, and genealogy: birth records, marriage records, death records, census records, and military records.

History[edit | edit source]

Skagen is Denmark's northernmost town and the area surrounding it. It is situated on the east coast of the Skagen Odde peninsula in the far north of Jutland, and it is part of Frederikshavn Municipality in Region Nordjylland. Originally the name was applied to the peninsula but it now usually refers to the town itself.
