Second College Grant, Coös County, New Hampshire Genealogy
Second College Grant is an unincorporated territory (township) organized in 1807 in Coös County, New Hampshire. It is roughly the size of a town, but has a relatively low population. In 2010 the population was 0. It was created for the benefit of Dartmouth College, and provides a modest but steady timber income. Trails and cabins are also made available for use by the Dartmouth community.
Records. No town meetings are held, and no town meeting minutes are kept in unincorporated territories. No record-keeping official is appointed. The county registrar of deeds should have the territory's land records. Dartmouth College has information about the people who have lived in, or worked this territory in their behalf.
