Group Visit Options
The visits include a short presentation, 15 to 20 minutes, by one of our staff members in one of our meeting rooms, with the remainder of the time working at computers in the library.

Recommended for those who are searching for names of ancestors or their descendants to take to the temple and complete their ordinances. Learn how to do original research with tips on using search functions to find and document new people on ancestor or descendant lines. Shows how to reserve names for temple ordinances and print ordinance cards. Help others feel the Spirit in this important work. Discusses the Apostolic Temple Challenge.
An overview of the why and how of indexing and demonstration of the indexing application for indexing in the library or at home. Includes hands-on training.
A presentation on how to identify a pioneer ancestor, locate the pioneer company the ancestor was in, and then find information about them, including how to identify family members requiring temple ordinances. Creating a 9 generation fan chart is also demonstrated.
Designed as an overview of the exciting new apps available on the website that will entice and excite young people to learn more about their ancestors through fun, interactive games and programs on the computer.
Recommended for ward and stake leadership and those unfamiliar with library resources. A short guided tour of the library with an overview of our facility, website, tools, applications, and equipment available in our library and on the computer desktop. This does not include a presentation.
Focused on helping members take advantage of all the new features of doing Family History on mobile devices.
Designed for those who have been trained or oriented but just want to schedule a time when group members can go directly to the library and make use of the computers with our staff assistance, as needed.
To schedule a group visit you will need to follow these instructions:
Determine an accurate count of how many will be attending.
For group sizes, we have 3 ranges: 6 to 11, 12 to 18, and 19 to 25.
If you have more than 25, but 50 or less in your group, you will need to schedule two sessions.
If you have more than 50, but 75 or less, you will need to schedule three sessions.
Our capacity per time slot is 75 individuals. We schedule a maximum of 3 sessions per time slot.
If you have more than 25 or 50 attending and a second or third session is not available, you will need to select a different time or date. ** Be sure to cancel the ones that were accepted! **
Day Time Visit are avaliable on Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Evening Visits are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm.
