Rødding is a town in the former municipality in Vejen municipality in Region of Southern Denmark on the Jutland peninsula in south Denmark.
The municipality was created in 1970 as the result of a Municipality Reform that merged a number of existing parishes, Hjerting, Jels, Lintrup, Rødding, Skodborg (German: Schottburg), Skrave, Sønder Hygum da:Sønder Hygum (German: Hügum) and Øster Lindet (German: Osterlinnet).
The Municipal Reform of 2007 was when it was merged with Brørup, Holsted, and Vejen municipalities to form the new Vejen municipality.The new municipality belongs to Region of Southern Denmark.
