Querbach is a village that is now incorporated in the municipality of Kehl.

Jurisdiction[edit | edit source]

From 1330 to 1803 a village in the Administrative District (Amt) of Willstätt.

From the rule of Graf Philipp III (1504—1538) until the line was extinguished in 1736 in the Grafschaft Hanau-Lichtenberg.

From 1736 - 1803 a village in the Landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt.

Church Records[edit | edit source]

Graf Philipp IV (ruled 1538—1590) of Hanau-Lichtenberg converted to the Lutheran faith and the Grafshaft became Lutheran during his reign.

Kork was the Lutheran parish church for Neumühl, Odelshofen, and Querbach.

The Lutheran Church books 1580-1961 for Kork and its chapels have been microfilmed and are available at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.
