Pinckney District, South Carolina Genealogy
Pinckney District was created in 1791 by South Carolina from parts of Ninety-Six District and Camden District on previously Cherokee land. The new overarching Pinckney District was created with four subordinate counties within it: (See the 1791 South Carolina map.)
