Yearly Basey (1793-1889) was freed from slavery in 1852 by Elizemond Basye Jr., and moved from Bourbon County, Kentucky to St. Louis County, Missouri; he married three times. Descendants lived in Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Washington, D.C., California and elsewhere.
