Oxbow, Aroostook County, Maine Genealogy
Oxbow, also known as Umcolcus Plantation, is a Maine plantation in the forests on the west edge of the Central Aroostook townships of Aroostook County. It was first organized as Number 9 R6 WELS Plantation in 1848; name changed to Oxbox (Plantation) in 1870; reaffirmed in 1873 and 1895.
