Northern Ireland

Where available these cost a fee , certainly the most expensive method. Send index details (year, quarter, volume and page #) to:

General Register Office
Oxford House, 49-55 Chichester Street
Belfast, Northern Ireland BT1 4HL

or go to their website which does not have the indexes but you can apply for a certificate with Visa or Mastercard.

District registrars in Northern Ireland only keep birth and death registers for two years, but they have all marriages from 1845. Prices may vary and you need to supply index details, and in the case of the huge Belfast district, the name of the church as well.
