Middleton upon Leven St Cuthbert is an Ecclesiastical Parish in the county of Yorkshire, created in 1740 from chapelry in Hutton Rudby (in Cleveland), Yorkshire Ancient Parish. Other places in the parish include: Cowthorn.
MIDDLETON-upon-Leven, a chapelry, in the parish of Rudby-in-Cleveland, union of Stokesley, W. division of the liberty of Langbaurgh, N. riding of York, 3¾ miles (S. E. by E.) from Yarm. The chapel is dedicated to St. Cuthbert, and is of modern date.
