FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

  The Menifee Family History Center is located on the North Side of the Menifee California Stake Center at 29725 Bradley Road in Sun City, CA.  Our hours of operation are Monday 9 am - 12 pm, Tuesday - Thursday 9 am - 3 pm and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Consultants are available to help you find your ancestors and answer questions as well as provide training and helps with Family Search and other websites. Spanish speaking consultants are available on Wednesdays.  There is free access in our center to programs that are traditionally paid programs such as, Fold 3, Find My Past, newspaper archives, and My Heritage.  There is also a large collection of microfilm and microfiche, as well as many books.  

Our Family Discovery Day and Fair for 2017 will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017. It is packed with classes for all levels from beginner to expert, and exhibits from the local genealogical and historical societies as well as Other groups in the area dedicated to family history/genealogy.

We offer this free service to the community and to members of the stake and hope that you will come and take advantage of our center.  Saturday hours are available by appointment.

Closed: President's day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Week, and December 19, 2017-January 2, 2018 for Christmas break.

Center Resources


  • FamilySearch Catalog: Microfilm are available for order through the FamilySearch Catalog and will be sent to this family history center for viewing by patrons in our area.
  • We have a varied collection of books available for searching - some by state, some by topic.

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal This center has available, the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history websites that generally require paid subscriptions such as,, fold3,, and others.  

Center Services

We have computers, a microfilm/microfiche reader and many films and fiche to search through, printer/copier/scanner and trained staff to help you search for your ancestors

Staff Research Specialties

Wednesdays we have Spanish Speaking consultants available in the morning and evening hours. We also have consultants trained to help you learn indexing on every shift.

Resources in the Local Area

The Sun City Genealogy Club houses a portion of it's collection of books and materials at the Sun City Library, located on the corner of  Bradley Rd. and Cherry Hills in Sun City, CA. They hold monthly meetings  at the library on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1 pm.
