Family History Games[edit | edit source]

Apple Tree Trivia Game

Draw a simple outline of a tree. Draw apples in a circle on the tree. Write, “Start or Collect an Apple” on one apple in the circle. Draw or print out apples and cut apart. Collect game markers/pieces for each player (buttons, action figures etc). Collect 1 or 2 dice. Write 25 or more family history questions. For example: What is your grandma’s maiden name? Where were your parents married? What was your grandpa’s job? What is your mom’s favorite color? How many brother’s does your dad have?

To Play:
Each player chooses a different colored playing piece. One or two dice may be used to go around the board. Each time a player moves, he or she picks a question card from the pile and answer the question. If the answer is correct, the player receives an apple and keeps the card. If the answer is incorrect the card is put on the bottom of the question card pile. Each time a player completes a round the player gets an apple. The game is over when all the questions cards are gone. The person with the most apples wins.
