The following have significant cemetery listings for Maryland State:

  • Search for names Enter at least a last name then click Search. Can narrow by first names or dates.
    • This site frequently has tombstone images.
    • List of cemeteries statewide for cemeteries in their database.
      • Go to Find A Grave Home page, click Search for a cemetery, select the state (Maryland), then select from the county list, and press Search.
        • Click on the number below Interments for a cemetery to access names. Click Records arrow to scroll through to the end.

  • Tombstones and Cemetery Records. A bibliography for each county in Maryland is listed on this site. Other resources are also available.
  • Funeral Home Records are closely related to a search for cemetery records. The Maryland State Archives website maintains a list of funeral homes and identifies where some of the records are located.

  • FHL book 975.2 V34d Directory of Maryland burial grounds. This is a book that was published in 1996. A microfilm copy is not available.
  • FHL film 908909 item 2 D.A.R. genealogical records A book containing the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) compiled cemetery records for Maryland is available at the Family History Library and a microfilm copy may be located at various FamilySearch.
