County Information


The County was named for Abraham Lincoln. The County has Hamlin as its seat and the County was created February 23, 1867. The County is located in the west central area of the state.[2]

Record Loss

1909--The courthouse burned down in 1909. All records were destroyed except for some land and tax records dating from 1867, which were not in the building at the time of the fire.
