Over 100 helpful staff members are available to provide the patron with individual and group experiences. We will support you in your efforts to find and preserve your family history. We hope you come to feel the joy of connecting with family past, present and future.

Our Staff as a Resource[edit | edit source]

FamilySearch Library staff will show you how to use the center’s resources. To make your visit most effective a patron should collect and organize their information at home. Bring as much information as you have about the ancestor you wish to research. Our Staff will help you:

  • Increase your skills using FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage and Fold3
  • How to access resources in the FamilySearch Wiki and the FamilySearch Catalog
  • Help with research materials written German, Scandinavian languages, Spanish, Portugese, and others languages
  • Researching in the early United States’ records or lack thereof
  • Finding information in our 9000 genealogical related books
  • How to research online digitized microfilm
  • Preserve memories using our free digitizing equipment

  • Training Lab with 15 computer teaching stations for class participants
  • Classroom seating for 25 persons and projection screen
  • Main floor 35 personal computers stations
  • Various preservation /digitizing equipment - 13 stations Link to “Preserving Memories”
  • GATED toddler play area with close parent access to 3 computer stations and one on one help.
  • Video Recording Studio for filming and preserving individuals and their stories. Capacity of 15 persons
