County Information


Holt County is bounded on the north by the Niobrara River, on the east by Knox and Antelope, on the south by Wheeler, on the west by unorganized territory. [2] It is named for Joseph Holt of Kentucky, who was Postmaster General and Secretary of War under President James Buchanan.[3]
