Holmes' Battery, Louisiana Light Artillery (Confederate)
Organized March 24, 1864. The unit was formed from men belonging to the Crescent Regiment who were separated from their unit by the Mississippi River. Part of the unit was captured October 5, 1864 at Woodville, Mississippi. The remaining men reorganized in Mobile, Alabama and were assigned to the Missouri Battery. Paroled at Meridian, Mississippi May 14, 1865.
